This leadership role owns the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of our bids—while optimizing the systems, team, and standards that protect margin and support strategic growth. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to set bid strategy, drive disciplined go/no-go decisions, and ensure every estimate includes clear scope, assumptions, and a clean handoff to the project team. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading people and process, diving into complex estimates when needed, and using data (estimate vs. actuals, win/loss, production rates) to improve how we estimate.

- Optimize estimating workflows, templates, and quality controls

- Support complex or high-priority estimates directly as needed
- Ensure pricing reflects true cost, risk, and desired profitability
- Partner with sales and operations to ensure the go/no-go criteria are clearly defined
Project Transition & Operational Alignment
- Transition awarded projects to operations teams with detailed scope documentation
- Communicate project specifications, schedules, and special requirements clearly

Market Intelligence
- Stay current on central Indiana construction market trends and opportunities
- Monitor competitive landscape and pricing dynamics
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and estimating accuracy
- Provide feedback on market conditions, client needs, and competitive positioning
